I want to take this opportunity to answer a few questions and give you a preview
of what to expect as far as future events. It is our intention to have lunch meetings,
similar to the upcoming Feb. 26th meeting, at least quarterly. In addition, we plan
on having informal, "meet-me-after-work-for-a-drink" meetings at local bars and restaurants
on a monthly basis. Unless otherwise announced, these informal meetings will occur
from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m. the first Wednesday of each month (i.e. the same day as the
Huntsville-Madison County Bar Association's monthly meetings). Informal meetings
will be buy-your-own-beverage events. The first such informal meeting was Wednesday,
Feb 4, at Mason's from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m.
I hope all of you who can will attend each of the upcoming events. There are some
other exciting things coming down the pipeline. I don't want to be premature, but
the words "keg" and "party" have been overheard in the same sentence.
WHO IS CONSIDERED A YOUNG LAWYER, AND DO I HAVE TO JOIN TO BE A MEMBER?
Several of you have asked about the criteria for being a young lawyer. If you are:
(a) below the age of 40 or (b) have practiced for five years or less, then you are
AUTOMATICALLY a member of Huntsville Young Lawyers. You do not have to do anything
to join. There are no dues.

We want to make sure we have accurate contact information for every Young Lawyer.

lawyers who did not receive this email, please forward it to them and encourage them
to respond.
If you have any questions or suggestions please give me, Douglas Hargett, or Amanda
Chrisley a call. Our contact information is as follows:
